Synopsis

Captain No Eyes is a fearless, kind, strong gentleman looking for a life purpose who is also a pirate - yes, a gentle and kind pirate with quite a following of men who are committed to following their Captain wherever he may go.

The crew has given him the name No Eyes because of the patch over where his left eye used to be, and he needs glasses for his other “good” eye, but Captain No Eyes demands that “Pirates don’t wear glasses!” and so he struggles to see without glasses, hence, the name!

The story is about how he realizes he will not find his life purpose in his current location, so he and his crew get on the steamboat of a poorly prepared captain in search of his purpose. Eventually, this boat runs out of fuel and they find themselves nearly stuck in the middle of the ocean until they finally board the lifeboats enabling them to escape peril and find a nearby island.

The crew was met by fearful inhabitants who were hesitant to assist them when the crew hears a call for help, inland from where they came ashore. Captain no eyes is compelled to follow the call for help to a man being held hostage deep within a cave.

Captain No eyes and his crew devised and impressively implemented a rescue plan to subdue the smelly captors while brandishing their swords, skillfully kneeing tummies, shoving elbows into the stinky faces, and even sticking their fingers up the snotty noses of the nasty pirates who were hiding out with their prisoner and controlling the island. The smelly pirates run away in defeat.

Captain No Eyes advises the inhabitants that they were no longer under the control of the mean, smelly pirates and that they should collect as much food and water as they can, but they must leave the dangerous island as the smelly pirates may return.

The inhabitants oblige with thanks and swiftly gather provisions and leave the island, including a poorly treated dog that the ex-prisoner had befriended while captive and was the only person to have ever shown affection to the dog. The captain then turns to the ex-prisoner and invites him to join his fearless crew and he agrees with pleasure so long as he may adopt the dog and bring it along with him. Captain No Eyes then turns to his crew and has them welcome their new crewmate with open arms.

Captain No Eyes and his faithful crew realize that they have all found something to devote their lives to, a real mission that means something. Still, pirates, but are now committed to always being good, friendly pirates who can help others in need. So, with the newfound goal of protecting innocent people from bad men and smelly pirates, they built their own ship and named it, “The Protector of the Innocent.”
